Getting into the Swing of Things

Well it's been over a week since my surgery. My heart felt weird for two days after the surgery. It would always feel like it was going to go into tachycardia, but it never did! My legs continued to bruise however and the bruises started to finally disappear on Friday.

I went running yesterday for only 20 minutes. I also did a lot of cleaning around the house. The combination of the two wasn't good for my legs. I woke up this morning with a new bruise. I'll see how it looks tomorrow and if it's bigger then I'll call the docs. I drew a line around the bruise so I'd know if it's getting bigger (smart thinking on my part).

I had to say goodbye to Tom and his family this morning as they boarded a plane to head to New Zealand. What am I going to do for three weeks without Thomas?!?!?! AHHHHHH

Today my brother and I planted a garden with my dad. We had bought my dad a blueberry bush for father's day. We planted a crap load of tomatoes - so many that we'll probably have to give some away or we'll be up to our ears with them. We had garlic growing in our yard from when I threw it out last month, so I was able to plant that!

Work is going better now that I'm getting used to it. The days are going by a little quicker. If things didn't get better I was going to have to leave and return to Hannies.

But yep, that's my weekly update. Not too much happening. I'll be preparing for the Freedom 5k this week. It'll be scary to hold it without Tom!
