Dear Monday,
I don't know what to think of you today. I started out so ready to take you on and then struggled to stay awake in my classes. You brought plenty of unexpected things my way, including free cookies during the faculty meeting and an unplanned run with friends. It was very helpful that you decided to warm up 25 degrees, making my run very enjoyable. I am so very excited that you're the Monday before Christmas, yet very sad at the same time. Next Monday just won't have the same Christmas spirit feeling. Or will it?

Dear Montpelier Running Buddies,
Thank you for letting me join you on your nightly runs. I was ready to be lazy and take the day off. But like so many times before, I laced up my shoes and joined you for our long run. Within the first 2 minutes I felt like a new person. You inspire me to get out there, and provide many laughs along the way. I really can't thank you enough.

Dear Sugar Cookies,
What happened?! You have all disappeared! Only the one-arm bandit remains but I have a feeling his fate will be decided in the next 24 hours.

Dear Tom,
Thank you sooooo much for making dinner last night and tonight. Both were amazing. You're amazing :)

Dear Hugo Cabret,
You were quite a treat on Saturday night (thanks to Tom). There was one quote that stood out in my mind that I think everyone can benefit from: "I'd imagine the whole world was one big machine. Machines never come with any extra parts, you know. They always come with the exact amount they need. So I figured if the entire world was one big machine, I couldn't be an extra part. I had to be here for some reason. And that means you have to be here for some reason too." I hope everyone finds their reason.

Dear Readers,
I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas! I hope you have a very merry week and have a wonderful time with family and friends.
